After joining the Morningstar Ventures family back in September, the Elrond Apes and Morningstar Ventures team have collaboratively built the new roadmap for Q4 2022 up until Q3 2023. The roadmap is as pragmatic as it is exciting and will further spearhead our growth. Our primary focus for the upcoming year is strengthening our brand, growing our community, and launching several utility initiatives.
Let’s take you through a detailed overview of what you can expect from the Elrond Apes team in the upcoming year:
Starting with Q4–2022, the team will focus its efforts on the following:
- Staking Rewards 2.0 — Soon we will allow projects access to our especially boosted staking rewards system, that will loop back to ape holders. More information will be released in the upcoming weeks.
- Merchandise Drop (winter) — After the first successful merchandise drop and excitement from the community, we are reopening our merchandise store. We will drop some cool new Ape jackets featuring the new logo and other winter items to prepare you for the season.
- Project Rebranding — Given the recent announcement of Elrond changing its name to MultiversX, we will rename Elrond Apes to something more fitting to the new ecosystem. Our new name will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
Throughout Q1 2023 the team will focus on creating a Lore feature and implementing a growth campaign:
- Lore Part 1: We are excited to announce that we aim to launch the first part of the Elrond Ape Lore in Q1. Created and written by screenwriters, the story will focus on the unique features of the Apes. In the second half of the year, we plan to launch the other half of the lore.
- Growth Campaign 1.0 & Brand Building — We want our community to grow even stronger and have more valuable engagement opportunities. We aim to engage influencers and experts to build brand awareness for EAPE and the Elrond NFT marketplace.
- Merchandise Drop (summer edition) — In anticipation of the hot summer months, we will do the third edition of merch with summer articles such as cool t-shirts and other Ape branded merch perfect for your summer vacation.
- Dubai Event (Top Secret) — We can’t say much, but something exciting is in the works. Keep an eye out on our community channels about the event details.
In Q2 2023, we’ll focus on streamlining all previous roadmap initiatives as well as launch the following initiatives:
- EAPE Token (TBC) — As highly anticipated by our community, we are currently making progress on the EAPE Token, which will be tied with utility towards the marketplace. The release of EAPE will depend on market conditions; thus, the release date might change. Further information on tokenomics and launch details will be released closer to Q1.
- Tradable Traits — As part of the aim to make your Apes your digital identity, your forever Ape, we aim to launch the option to trade specific traits of your Elrond Apes for new ones. For example, in the French Flag ape below, a holder may choose to trade the French flag for the U.S. or U.K. flag, thus personalizing their Ape more to their liking. Trading traits will not affect the ranking of your Ape, and we will release the ability to trade periodically.
- Ape Marketplace — The new marketplace will allow Ape holders to get a hold of new unique features and items for their collections.
- New York City Event — After a great first meet-up in Paris last November during X Days, we are excited to get the community together again. We plan to hold an event during a conference in NYC and expect it to bring more engagement and visibility to cross-chain projects. Exclusive merch will be handed out at the event. Keep an eye out for more details.
Finally, towards the end of the year, we will focus on expanding our Lore and creating Apes Island in Q3, 2023.
- Lore Part 2: We will launch the final part of the Apes Lore in the second half of the year. The lore will also introduce Ape Island and integrate it as part of the storyline.
- Ape Island Launch — We aim to launch our first three ape islands. Ape holders can enter the islands, which will link with the EAPE Token. We’ll be posting regular announcements about the development and progress, so keep an eye out on our Twitter and Medium. Sneak peek of the island in the image below.
- Growth Campaign 2.0 — After a year of new initiatives, we want to ensure our community is still at the forefront. To make this happen, we aim to launch a second growth and brand-building campaign, enabling more brand awareness cross-chain and bringing in community incentives to increase engagement.
